ISLAMABAD: No Afghan nationals will be allowed to stay in the Islamabad capital territory without no-objection certificate from December 31, 2024.

This was stated by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi here on Wednesday.

He told the Afghan nationals that if they want to stay in Islamabad they should approach the deputy commissioner Islamabad office and get the NOC.

The interior minister was speaking about the Afghan nationals in the context of reports that many Afghan nationals had taken part in the march of PTI to the federal capital. The Punjab government has already announced that it had arrested a large number of Afghan nationals during the PTI protest.

About the allegations of the PTI that police opened straight fire on the protesters the interior minister said that PTI leaders were issuing such statements in order to conceal their embarrassment after fleeing from Islamabad.
