No concession, terrorists would be eliminated: PM

Says our enemies want to sabotage CPEC and keep Balochistan backward. They also want to sabotage Pakistan-China relations. 

QUETTA: In the wake of rising terror incidents in Balochistan, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said the government will not give any concession to terrorists and would eliminate them to restore peace in the province.

The prime minister stated this while chairing a meeting of the national action plan’s provincial apex committee in Quetta. Chief of Army staff Gen Asim Munir, Governor Jafar Mandokhel and federal ministers were also present.

He said those who accept the constitution and flag of Pakistan, they would be approached for talks. He said the enemies want to But some anti-state elements did not want China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the Gwadar Port to be operationalized. They want to keep Balochistan backward. Our enemies also want to sabotage the Pakistan-China relations.

The prime minister also said Balochistan’s share in the 2010 NFC award had been increased by 100pc to ensure speedy development of the province. He said Gwadar port was vital for development and prosperity of the country.

Armed people blocked highways and killed dozens of people in different areas of Balochistan on the night between Aug 25 and 26. In Musakhel town, they shot dead at least 23 passengers after dragging them down and checking their CNICs. The terrorists also set fire to 10 vehicles.

In a similar incident, the terrorists blocked a highway in Qalat and killed 10 people, including four Levies and one police personnel. They also torched scores of vehicles.
