ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi held a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the PM House here on Monday.
After the conclusion of the meeting, Afridi stated that during the meeting there was no discussion regarding PTI founder Imran Khan or his sisters.
He said he took up the issues of his province especially the dues owed by the federal government. He added that Rs. 2,600 billion allocated for the tribal districts was still pending. The Prime Minister has instructed the release of Rs. 26 billion for these areas, he added.
Afridi also mentioned that the Rs. 4 billion allocated for people displaced in Tirah, Kurram, and Bajaur is relatively small compared to their contributions, emphasizing the importance of honoring the public’s sacrifices.
He clarified that the meeting focused on provincial matters, not political issues.
PM Shehbaz stated that terrorism has no province or country. He added that another meeting after Eid will specifically address terrorism, noting that the government is openly sharing its stance.
