GHAZAR: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that his grandfather Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto abolished FCR and Rajgiri system from Gilgit-Baltistan, while his mother Shaheed (martyred) Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto introduced democracy and made political parties.
PPP co-chairman said that his father, President Asif Ali Zardari, gave identification to the people of GB, gave them assembly, the governor and the chief minister. Now the PPP wants the people of GB to be given the right to choose their own province representatives and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Addressing a rally in Yasin Tehsil of Ghazar during the Gilgit-Baltistan election campaign, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that this was not just an election but a referendum on the rights of the people of GB, though the PPP will win on November 15 and the rights of the people will be given to them.
He said the PPP subsidized the people of GB on food items, clothes and petrol, contrary to that, Imran Khan wants to take away this subsidy from the people here. Imran Khan has seen thousands of people in PPP meetings, he should know that the people of GB are honest and loyal, and stand with the party of martyrs, Bilawal said.
Bilawal Bhutto said that during the two years of Imran Khan’s rule, corruption has increased immensely.
