No information about Pakistanis visiting Israel: FO

Spokesman condemns renewed Israeli attacks on Gaza and Khan Yunis and killing of hundreds of Palestinians.

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Thursday condemned the renewed Israeli attacks on Gaza and Khan Yunis and killing of hundreds of Palestinians in the fresh wave of massacres.

Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan during a media briefing also said the international community should stop Israel from Palestinians’ genocide.

In reply to a question, he said there was no information about Pakistanis visiting Israel.

He said that information was being collected about the news of Pakistanis going to Israel. Comment will be made when the situation is clear, he added.

The Foreign Office spokesman said Pakistan’s missile and defense capabilities were for national security and stability. Pakistan’s nuclear program is completely safe and invulnerable. 

In response to another question, the Foreign Office spokesman said: “The issuance of a travel advisory is an internal matter of any country, but there is no truth in the reports that the US had imposed restrictions on the entry of Pakistanis. The State Department has also denied the reports.”

Khan said Pakistan continues to convey its concerns to Afghanistan and calls on the international community to eliminate terrorist safe havens from Afghan soil.

They said the deadline for the deportation of Afghan refugees remained unchanged.

He said the Torkham border was opened on Wednesday and pedestrians will be allowed to cross the from Friday. The Torkham border will be open until April 15 and a permanent solution to the problem will be found. Stopping the construction of the border posts was the main demand of Pakistan which was accepted.

In reply to another question, the spokesman said Foreign Office officials were not involved in human trafficking. There is no truth in these speculations. A fact-finding committee is being set up to investigate social media reports.

The spokesman said India had not yet condemned the Jaffar Express train attack, adding New Delhi’s involvement in terrorism in Pakistan was clear and undeniable.
