Non-bailable arrest warrant out against PML-N’s Marriyam Aurangzeb

Javed Latif of the PML-N and others are also nominated in the case for making provocative speeches.

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court here on Saturday issued non-bailable warrant for the arrest of PML-N former federal information minister Marriyam Aurangzeb.

The warrant was issued in a case registered against her and another party leader Javed Latif for making provocative speeches at a public gathering.

Latif had appeared in the court during the last hearing, but Marriyam had remained absent from the court proceedings last time as well.

When the court took up hearing today, Marriyam didn’t appear and her lawyer came up with an application for exemption from appearing in the court.

The judge expressed annoyance and issued the non-bailable warrant and put off further hearing of the case.
