RAWALPINDI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Aleema Khan after she failed to appear in a case related to the November 26 protest.
During the hearing, neither Aleema Khan nor her legal counsel was present before the court.
Taking notice of the absence, the court observed that no valid justification or exemption request had been submitted, leading to the issuance of non-bailable warrants.
Special Prosecutor Zaheer Shah appeared before the court along with his team and moved an application to include NCCI Assistant Director Salman Niaz in the list of prosecution witnesses.
The court approved the request and adjourned further proceedings in the case for one day.
