Non-Bailable Arrest Warrants Issued for Aleema Khan

ISLAMABAD: A special anti-terrorism court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder, in connection with the high-profile November 26 protest and arson case.

The hearing took place at the Sadiqabad police station under the supervision of Judge Amjad Ali Shah. During the proceedings, the court rejected Aleema Khan’s request for exemption from personal appearance and formally issued non-bailable warrants for her arrest.

The indictment process against Aleema Khan, along with other co-accused, could not be completed during today’s hearing. The court has adjourned the case for further proceedings until tomorrow, allowing additional legal formalities to be completed.

Aleema Khan’s legal representation, comprising lawyers Muhammad Faisal Malik and Hasnain Sanbal, appeared before the court to present her defense. The state was represented by Prosecutor Zaheer Shah, who presented the case details and responded to legal arguments raised by the defense.

The case pertains to violent protests and property damage that occurred on November 26. Authorities are continuing their investigation, and the court is expected to deliberate further on the charges and evidence in the upcoming sessions.

This latest development marks a significant step in the ongoing legal proceedings, highlighting the court’s commitment to ensuring accountability for incidents related to public disorder and unlawful activities.
