NYPD Releases Image of Suspect in Brooklyn Sexually Motivated Burglary Case

NEW YORK: The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a sexually motivated burglary in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The disturbing incident occurred early Monday morning within the 83rd Precinct area.

Suspect Entered Home Through Kitchen Window

According to investigators, the incident took place on October 6, 2025, around 3:40 a.m. A 43-year-old woman was asleep inside her home near Pilling Street and Evergreen Avenue when an unidentified man entered through a kitchen window.

Police said the suspect approached the victim, placed a pillow over her head, and a struggle followed. He then tied her wrists, made sexual advances, and performed a lewd act before stealing her cell phone and watch. The attacker fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Victim Hospitalized in Stable Condition

Emergency Medical Services arrived shortly after the assault and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, where she was listed in stable condition, police confirmed.

Suspect Description Released

The NYPD described the suspect as a male who was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, a black sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, black sneakers, and carrying a dark backpack.

Police have released images of the individual, which are available through the NYPD’s DCPI (Deputy Commissioner of Public Information).
