MUZAFFARABAD: Indian occupation forces have killed two more youth in fake encounters in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to reports, Indian occupation forces martyred two more Kashmiri youths in a fake encounter during a so-called cordon and search operation in Poonch district.
The victims were reportedly targeted under the guise of an encounter, which locals have condemned as entirely fabricated.
This comes as India, facing criticism over the failure of Operation Sandhoor, has allegedly resumed fake encounters under a new campaign named Operation Mahadev. Earlier this week, three more Kashmiri youths were killed in a similar staged operation in Dachigam, near Srinagar.
Indian Home Minister Amit Shah claimed that the three individuals killed were “terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack.” However, local residents strongly rejected this assertion, stating that the slain youths were innocent and falsely labelled as militants.
The incident has sparked outrage among the local population, who have denounced the use of fake encounters to justify extrajudicial killings.
