KARACHI: One robber was killed and another injured after a shootout involving police and a civilian in the Defense View area of Karachi.
According to police, two suspects were attempting to loot a civilian when officers arrived at the scene following a tip-off.
The police said that along with the officers, a civilian also fired at the robbers, resulting in one suspect being killed and the other wounded.
Street crime has been a persistent concern in Karachi, with incidents of snatching, mugging, and armed robbery reported across the city. Many neighborhoods, especially busy commercial areas, remain vulnerable due to high traffic and inadequate street surveillance.
Authorities have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity immediately.
