Online Classes for Educational Institutions on Fridays Approved

LAHORE: Punjab’s Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced that schools, colleges and universities across the province have been permitted to conduct online classes on Fridays.

According to the minister, the decision aims to ensure the continuity of educational activities under the current circumstances. He also appreciated the cooperation and patience of students, teachers, and parents.

A notification issued by the Punjab Education Department stated that all educational institutions will remain closed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

As a result, in-person classes will be held four days a week, from Monday to Thursday, between 8:00 AM and 1:30 PM. The policy applies to both public and private institutions.

For double-shift schools, the first shift will run from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, while the second shift will operate from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Afternoon schools will also follow the 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM schedule.
