Operation Against Terrorists Continues At Wana Cadet College

PESHAWAR: An intensive military operation is currently underway to neutralize three terrorists who took refuge inside a building after attacking Wana Cadet College.

According to security sources, the attackers are believed to have links with Afghan militant groups and were receiving instructions and guidance from across the border via phone. The assailants are now confined to a building located far from the cadet dormitories, but they are still within the college’s perimeter.

The attack took place on [insert date], when a vehicle packed with explosives was driven into the main gate of the college. The powerful explosion caused extensive damage to the gate, along with significant structural damage to nearby buildings, creating chaos and panic among those inside. However, security forces reacted swiftly and decisively, successfully killing two of the attackers and initiating a full-scale clearance operation.

At the time of the attack, approximately 650 people, including 525 cadets, were present at the college. Fortunately, the cadets’ dormitories were not directly impacted by the explosion. In the aftermath, security forces have managed to safely evacuate 115 people, including faculty members and staff. Authorities are confident that the remaining terrorists are holed up in a remote building within the campus grounds, far from where the cadets are located.

The ongoing operation is aimed at locating and neutralizing the remaining terrorists. Security forces have sealed off the surrounding area, and the college campus is now under tight control.

The cadets are reported to be safe, with no casualties reported among them. The evacuation process is being carried out systematically, and it is expected to be completed shortly. As of now, approximately 535 people remain inside the college, all of whom are confirmed to be unharmed.

Security sources have urged calm among the parents of the cadets, reassuring them that their children are out of harm’s way. They emphasized that the operation is progressing smoothly, and they expect it to be concluded soon. Authorities also confirmed that the terrorists are isolated and unable to cause further harm, with specialized military units handling the operation with precision and caution.
