ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan has reassured that all necessary medical and living facilities will be provided to PTI founder Imran Khan while he remains in custody.
His comments came in response to concerns raised by the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.
Rana Sanaullah referred to a report submitted to the Supreme Court by Amicus Curiae Salman Safdar, which confirmed that required services, including cleanliness, meals, and proper kitchen arrangements, are being provided to Imran Khan.
He stated that the report had clarified any negative propaganda regarding Khan’s treatment, and all measures will be followed as per the Supreme Court’s directives.
The Advisor urged the opposition not to politicize the health concerns of individuals.
In addition, the Senate passed three key bills: “The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Amendment) Bill 2026, “The Newspaper Employees (Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Bill, 2026”, and “The Pakistan Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2026”.
