Over 140,000 Students To Appear In MDCAT On Oct 26
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has issued instructions to all universities conducting the MDCAT 2025 to carry out a mandatory pre-hoc analysis of examination papers.
According to official details, the MDCAT 2025 will be held on October 26, with 140,125 candidates registered to appear.
A total of 35 examination centers have been established across the country, along with one international center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The exams will be conducted by the respective universities, and the PM&DC will not directly administer them.
PM&DC has provided the exam policy and structure to all universities and granted them access to the National Item Bank. Universities are required to follow PM&DC standards during paper setting, development, and printing.
They have also been instructed to conduct pre-hoc analysis to eliminate questions outside the prescribed syllabus, while ensuring strict confidentiality of the question papers.
Furthermore, the exam papers are to be opened only in the presence of official witnesses, and admit cards for candidates will be issued seven days prior to the exam. Universities are mandated to officially announce results within seven days of the examination.
This move ensures a standardized and fair examination process, aligning universities with PM&DC guidelines.
