Over 7,000 from 25 Countries Take Part In Karachi Marathon

KARACHI: A grand marathon race was held in Karachi, attracting participants from across the globe and adding vibrant energy to the city.

The Karachi Marathon kicked off from Sea View near Nishan-e-Pakistan, with more than 7,000 runners from 25 countries taking part in the international sporting event. Men, women, and children from different age groups actively participated, making the event inclusive and lively.

According to the organizers, the marathon featured four race categories: 42 kilometers, 21 kilometers, 10 kilometers, and 5 kilometers. The first round included the full marathon (42 km) and half marathon (21 km), while the second round consisted of the 10 km and 5 km races. All races concluded at Nishan-e-Pakistan.

Speaking to the media, event organizers stated that the primary objective of the marathon was to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage physical fitness among citizens.

Residents of Karachi welcomed the successful event, describing it as a positive step toward reviving the city’s recreational and sporting culture. Many expressed hope that such events would continue regularly in the future to enhance the city’s image and community spirit.
