According to a report on Wednesday, Dr Ejaz said the primary objective of an expo was to strengthen business ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and provide investors with opportunities to explore new ventures.

He invited Saudi investors to explore Pakistan’s market, highlighting the country’s population of around 250 million and its potential for business expansion.

Dr Ejaz said Pakistan’s substantial demand for housing had created investment opportunities in the real estate and construction sectors. He said Saudi investors could benefit from the country’s large market by participating in residential projects and other commercial activities.

Emphasising the role of business in economic development, he said commercial activity could help address economic challenges, promote prosperity and create employment opportunities. He also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s importance as a destination for Pakistani workers and called for stronger economic cooperation between the two countries.

Dr Ejaz said the Rs5 billion fund had been arranged through the Pakistan-Saudi Business Council to facilitate investment in both countries. However, further details regarding the fund’s currency denomination, structure and scope were not provided in the report.

He added that the expo would provide professionals and business representatives from Pakistan’s construction industry with an opportunity to exchange expertise, learn from one another and establish new business connections.

He urged business leaders to take advantage of the initiative to promote bilateral trade, investment and joint ventures.
