ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar held discussions with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad. The meeting focused on the shared strategic interests between the two nations and set the tone for future cooperation.
The Chinese ambassador conveyed New Year greetings from China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, wishing Pakistan continued prosperity and success in the coming year. In turn, Ishaq Dar expressed heartfelt thanks and reciprocated the New Year wishes, emphasizing the strong and enduring friendship between Pakistan and China.
During the meeting, Ishaq Dar highlighted the importance of China’s ongoing support for Pakistan’s regional integrity and national development. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the One-China policy, which recognizes Taiwan as an inseparable part of China. He also reiterated that Pakistan stands firmly with China on all core issues, underscoring the strategic importance of their bilateral partnership.
Both leaders discussed the overall state of Pakistan-China relations and expressed mutual satisfaction with the progress made in their all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. The two sides agreed that this partnership remains a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy and a critical element for ensuring peace and stability in the region.
