Pakistan and China reiterate their commitment to stand together in tackling every challenge

 

The Chinese Defense Minister called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and reiterated his commitment to stand together to tackle every challenge in the future by signing a memorandum of understanding to enhance Pak-China military cooperation.

According to Major General Babar Iftikhar, DG-ISPR, Chinese Defense Minister General Wei Fenghei called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters Rawalpindi to discuss the regional security situation, mutual interest and defense issues were discussed.

According to DG-ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that he was grateful to China for supporting Pakistan’s position on regional issues, Pakistan and China have deep friendly relations, while, Pakistan and China will continue to stand together in the future.

In a meeting with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chinese Defense Minister praised the steps taken by the Pakistan Army for the security of the CPEC projects. An agreement on cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese forces was also signed on the occasion. The Chinese Defense Minister was presented a guard of honor on his arrival at GHQ. He also laid flowers at the memorial.
