Pakistan Beat Namibia to Enter T20 World Cup Super 12s

COLOMBO: Pakistan made a commanding entry into the Super 12 stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 by defeating Namibia by 102 runs in their final Group A match.

This loss eliminated Namibia from the tournament.

Batting first, the Green Shirts posted 199 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, powered by opener Sahibzada Farhan, who scored a brilliant century off 58 balls, including 4 sixes and 11 fours, finishing unbeaten.

Farhan now leads the tournament’s top scorer chart with a total of 220 runs in the group stage.

Pakistan’s bowlers dominated Namibia’s chase. Usman Tariq took 4 wickets for just 16 runs in 3.5 overs, including a maiden over, while Shadab Khan claimed 3 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs. Salman Mirza and Muhammad Nawaz took a wicket each. Namibia was all out for 97 runs in the 18th over.

With this win, Pakistan advances confidently to the Super 12 round, keeping its trophy ambitions alive.
