Pakistan, Belarus agree to enhance cooperation in fields of mutual interest
Pakistan and Belarus have agreed to enhance cooperation in all fields of mutual interest, including trade and investment, industry, defence, agriculture, education, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.
The understanding reached at a meeting between Additional Secretary Dr Muhammad Tariq and Belarus Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei in Minsk.
Additional Secretary (Europe), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Tariq, called on the Foreign Minister of Belarus, Mr. Vladimir Makei, in Minsk. The Additional Secretary was in Minsk for the 5th round of Bilateral Political Consultations with the Belarusian side.
The Additional Secretary briefed the Belarusian Foreign Minister on deliberations held during the Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) held on 27 July 2021. He underscored the commitment of Pakistan’s leadership to further broaden relations with Belarus in diverse areas including trade and investment, industry, defence, agriculture, education, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.
Moreover, the Additional Secretary conveyed an invitation by Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi to the Belarusian Foreign Minister to visit Pakistan. The two sides expressed satisfaction at the growing bilateral cooperation and agreed to maintain this momentum across all fields of mutual interest.
