MALDIVES: Pakistan’s national handball team has been crowned champions of the Commonwealth Beach Handball Championship 2025, after defeating Sri Lanka in the final held in the Maldives.
The Pakistani side produced a dominant display in the title decider, registering a straight-set 2-0 victory with scores of 26-18 and 28-12, securing the championship in style. With this win, Pakistan remained undefeated throughout the tournament, underlining their supremacy in beach handball across the region.
Earlier in the competition, Pakistan stormed into the final after overcoming Bangladesh in the semifinal clash on Sunday. The team had also made a strong statement in their opening match, outclassing arch-rivals India with a convincing 2-0 win.
This championship victory marks a significant achievement for Pakistan, as the team showcased consistency, tactical strength, and dominance against all their opponents on the way to lifting the prestigious title.
