ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office on Thursday said that Pakistan was committed to ensuring foolproof security for Chinese nationals working on different projects under CPEC in Pakistan.
Addressing a weekly briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that she would not respond to propaganda spread by media of some countries about relations between Pakistan and China.
She said that all-out efforts were being made to ensure Chinese companies and workers in different parts of the country and a special force was also reserved for this purpose.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that Pakistan and China had multifaceted relations that covered not only diplomatic ties but also security, adding efforts by some elements to spoil the relattions between the two countries had failed in the past and would meet the same fate in the future.
She said that Pakistan was working under a set standard operating procedure to provide security to the Chinese workers in the country and in this regard authorities were always in contact with their Chines counterparts as well as the Chinese workers in Pakistan.
