Pakistan Defeats Bangladesh In U19 Asia Cup Semi-Final

DUBAI: Pakistan comfortably defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets in the second semi-final of the U19 Asia Cup. Chasing a target of 122, Pakistan reached the total in 17 overs, losing just 2 wickets.

Samir Munhaz top-scored for Pakistan with an unbeaten 69 runs. Usman Khan contributed 27 runs before being dismissed, while Hamza Zahoor went out for a duck. Ahmed Hussain remained not out at 11.

For Bangladesh, Iqbal Hussain Iman and Sami ul-Nabeer picked up one wicket each.

Earlier, Bangladesh, batting first, was bowled out for 121 runs in the 27th over. Sami ul-Nabeer was the top scorer for Bangladesh with 33 runs. Aziz ul-Haqim (20) and Riffat Baig (14) were the other notable contributors. The rest of the team fell cheaply, with Iqbal Hussain Iman remaining not out on 1.

Pakistan’s bowlers, led by Abdul Subhan (4 wickets) and Hudaifah Ahsan (2 wickets), dominated the innings. Ali Raza, Mohammad Siyam, and Ahmed Hussain took 1 wicket each.
