JEDDAH: Pakistan has called for an immediate end to ceasefire violations in Gaza in accordance with the United Nations mandate.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated that the ongoing genocide in Gaza is unacceptable and that Israel’s violations of the ceasefire cannot be tolerated.
Representing Pakistan at the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) meeting, Ishaq Dar said that Arab and Islamic countries have expressed concern over the breaches of the Gaza ceasefire.
Pakistan strongly condemns these violations. He emphasized the OIC’s important role in promoting peace, development, and cooperation within the Muslim world, stating that Israel’s aggression and expansionist measures are unacceptable and cause serious concern for the Muslim Ummah.
He also highlighted the need for measures to restore Gaza and stressed that violations of the ceasefire must stop immediately.
Dar condemned the illegal settlements by Israel in Palestinian territories and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for a free and sovereign Palestinian state. He noted that Pakistan is coordinating with brotherly countries to achieve a sustainable ceasefire and reiterated the government’s principled stance on the Palestinian issue at the Gaza Peace Board.
