ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has firmly condemned the recent incident of vandalism and unrest directed at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Damascus, describing it as a serious breach of diplomatic conduct and international norms.
In a statement, Foreign Office said that such acts violate the sanctity and security of diplomatic missions, which are safeguarded under international law, including the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, and undermine the established framework that governs peaceful diplomatic engagement between states.
The statement further highlighted that any attack on diplomatic premises not only endangers personnel and property but also weakens mutual trust and cooperation among nations. Pakistan reiterated its unwavering commitment to the principles of international law and diplomatic norms, emphasizing the importance of preserving peace, stability, and mutual respect in relations between countries.
