Pakistan, India DGMOs speak via hotline, discuss LoC tensions

ISLAMABAD: The Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India spoke via hotline to discuss rising tensions and recent ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC).

According to media reports, Indian forces opened unprovoked fire on the night between April 29 and 30, using small arms in the Kayani and Mandal sectors. In response, Pakistan Army launched a strong retaliatory operation, targeting and destroying several Indian posts.

The media reports stated that Pakistani forces destroyed key Indian positions, including the Chakpatra post, effectively silencing enemy fire.

During the conversation, both military leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining regional peace and strictly following the ceasefire agreement.
