ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued a license to Pakistan’s first digital bank, Raqami Islamic Bank, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan-Kuwait relations.
Speaking at the licensing ceremony in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan and Kuwait have enjoyed decades of strong ties, and transforming political relations into economic cooperation is crucial.
He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing economic partnerships with the Kuwaiti leadership.
“The two countries are working to convert their relationship into investment, trade, and economic collaboration, turning shared goals of growth and prosperity into practical results,” he added.
The move comes as Pakistan seeks to strengthen its digital economy and encourage innovative financial solutions in the country.
