Pakistan, Morocco Set to Ink MoU on Defense Cooperation

CASABLANCA: Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has arrived in Morocco on a two-day official visit, which will run from January 12 to 14, 2026.

His arrival was met with a warm reception by senior Moroccan military officials and government representatives.

At Casablanca International Airport, Khawaja Asif was welcomed by Major General Ahmed Hattoutou, Commander of the Casablanca Army, as well as high-ranking Moroccan officials and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Morocco Syed Adil Gilani.

According to an official statement, the visit will see the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pakistan and Morocco aimed at strengthening defense cooperation. This agreement is expected to be a key milestone in bolstering the two nations’ military ties and enhancing bilateral defense relations.
