Pakistan, Poland to exchange enhance parliamentary dialogue

WARSAW: Pakistan and Poland have agreed to deepen bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas, including through the exchange of high-level visits and enhanced parliamentary dialogue.

According to state media reports, the understanding was reached during the 9th Round of Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) between the two countries, held in Warsaw.

The Pakistani delegation was led by Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe) Muhammad Ayub, who reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to broadening ties with Poland in diverse fields. These include trade and investment, energy, security and defence cooperation, science and technology, agriculture, migration and mobility, and higher education.

Officials from both sides held detailed discussions on regional and global issues of mutual interest, covering developments in South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. The talks reflected a strong convergence of views on key issues, with both delegations agreeing to continue close cooperation at multilateral forums, including the United Nations.

The meeting highlighted the shared desire of Pakistan and Poland to strengthen their partnership through sustained dialogue and practical cooperation across various sectors.
