Pakistan proud of fraternal ties with Saudi Arabia: PM

Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman calls Shehbaz Sharif to congratulate on his election as prime minister.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said Pakistan is proud of its historic, deep rooted and fraternal relations with the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He said the two countries have always stood together through thick and thin. He also lauded Saudi Arabia for its unwavering commitment and support to Pakistan.

He stated this while talking to the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman who called him to congratulate on his election as the prime minister, according to the Prime Minister office.

“The prime minister reiterated his invitation to the crown prince to undertake an official visit to Pakistan and said the people of Pakistan were waiting to accord a very warm welcome to him.    The crown prince thanked the prime minister for his sentiments.” The Saudi crown prince reaffirmed his country’s support for Pakistan.

Later, in a post on his X handle, Mr Sharif expressed his keenness to work closely with the Saudi crown prince to transform deep rooted and historic fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia into a comprehensive strategic partnership.
