ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has stressed Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring tangible progress through the ongoing Islamabad Talks, reiterating the country’s role as a facilitator for dialogue between the parties involved.
He expressed these views during a meeting with the Iranian delegation participating in the talks. The delegation was led by Speaker of the Iranian Consultative Assembly Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and included Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
The prime minister emphasized that Pakistan remains dedicated to promoting regional and global peace and stability through sustained diplomatic engagement. He also appreciated Iran’s constructive approach and positive participation in the dialogue process.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi were also present during the meeting.
