Pakistan, Qatar Set Sights on Deeper Collaboration in AI
DOHA: Pakistan and Qatar have signaled a major step forward in their bilateral ties by agreeing to expand cooperation in artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies during a high-level meeting in Doha.
Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met his Qatari counterpart Ali Bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, where both sides emphasized boosting economic cooperation and capitalizing on opportunities under the newly concluded GCC–Pakistan Free Trade Agreement.
They discussed expanding trade flows, enhancing long-term LNG cooperation, developing digital infrastructure, improving skills training, and undertaking regulatory reforms. Both countries also agreed to set up structured mechanisms to advance joint efforts in technology development, trade diversification, climate resilience, and investment facilitation.
The ministers expressed confidence that Pakistan–Qatar relations are entering a new era of strategic and economic expansion.
