Pakistan Reaffirms Full Support for Syria’s Sovereignty & Unity

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity during a meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani in Islamabad.

The prime minister stressed the need to further strengthen longstanding ties between Pakistan and Syria through greater cooperation in defence, trade, investment, education and human resource development.

He also expressed Pakistan’s firm support for Syria’s position on the Golan Heights and invited Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at a mutually convenient date.
