Pakistan Reiterates Support for Women’s Role in Peace and Security

UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting women’s leadership and ensuring their meaningful participation in efforts related to peace and security.

The commitment was expressed by Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Usman Jadoon here.

Ambassador Jadoon was speaking at a UN High-Level Forum on the Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace, according to the permanent mission of Pakistan at the UN.

Ambassador Jadoon emphasised the importance of sustained investment in women’s leadership, describing it as a key foundation for achieving lasting peace.

He highlighted the need for continued efforts to strengthen women’s participation in peace and security initiatives at both national and international levels.
