RIYADH: The Global Defence Exhibition 2026 has commenced in the Saudi capital Riyadh, with participation from more than 80 countries, showcasing advanced defence technologies and military hardware.
Pakistan is among the participating countries, with several major defence organisations, including Global Industrial & Defence Solutions (GIDS), Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), and Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), displaying their products at the exhibition.
Pakistan’s display includes the Fatah-2 missile, along with other missile systems and defence equipment that played a key role in strengthening the country’s defensive capabilities during the conflict with India. The exhibition highlights Pakistan’s growing indigenous defence technology and manufacturing capacity.
Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif attended the exhibition at the invitation of the Saudi government. Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry was also present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Talal Chaudhry said that defence cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has significantly strengthened following recent defence agreements, leading to more stable and robust bilateral relations.
