Pakistan Showcases Its Rich Culinary Heritage at New York Festival
NEW YORK: The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York participated in the International Food Festival 2025, organized by the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York (SoFC) and hosted at the iconic Turkish House.
The annual festival, SoFC’s flagship cultural diplomacy event, brought together consulates from around the world to celebrate global diversity through cuisine, culture, and people-to-people engagement.
A large number of diplomats, officials from the City of New York, representatives of the United Nations, and members of diverse communities attended the event and enjoyed the vibrant culinary and cultural displays presented by participating countries.
The Consulate General of Pakistan presented a curated selection of traditional Pakistani dishes, featuring Chicken Biryani, Seekh Kebab, Gajar Halwa (Carrot Dessert), and Kashmiri Chae (Pink Tea).
Visitors showed great appreciation for Pakistan’s rich flavors, vibrant spices, and hospitality. The Pakistani booth remained one of the most visited stations, drawing praise for authentically presenting the country’s culinary identity.
Consulates from Argentina, Brazil, Georgia, Guatemala, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Serbia, Thailand, Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates showcased their national cuisines and cultural heritage, turning the festival into a dynamic celebration of global unity and multiculturalism.
Cultural performances, traditional music, and a vibrant exchange of ideas further enriched the occasion, fostering friendship among nations.
The participation of the Consulate General of Pakistan reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting cultural diplomacy and strengthening ties with the international community in New York.
