NEW YORK: Israel has not only committed atrocities in Gaza and continues spreading its terror to other Muslim countries but has also started condemning anyone raising voice against its brutalities and rampant rights violations.

Of late, the Israeli government has launched a campaign of slanderous attacks on United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres and announced to bar him from entering the country. The Israeli government has also declared the UN chief persona non grata.

The Israeli intransigence to the international calls and UN resolutions to stop the war in Gaza showed the Israeli government’s complete disregard for international law.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s permanent representative to the UN Munir Akram in an interview said Pakistan stands in full solidarity with the UN secretary general and commends his principled and courageous stance on the situation in the Middle East, particularly the atrocities in Gaza and the aggression against Lebanon.

He said the UN is a pillar of world order. He aid insult and abuse was the weapon of aggressors and oppressors.

“Israel’s aggression in Gaza has killed over 41,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and its new offensive against Lebanon has also caused thousands of casualties as well as massive displacement of people there,” he added.
