In a powerful digital retaliation, Pakistani cyber experts hacked dozens of key Indian government and semi-government websites, including the official portal of the ruling BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party).
The large-scale cyberattack, launched in response to escalating Indian aggression, successfully disrupted critical Indian cyber infrastructure. The attackers wiped sensitive content and left Indian agencies scrambling to recover.
Top Indian Agencies and Defense Sites Compromised
Among the compromised websites were the Crime Research Investigation Agency, Mahanagar Telecommunication Corporation Limited, and Bharat Earth Movers Limited.
Hackers also targeted the All India Naval Technical Supervisory Staff Association, erasing entire databases and causing massive operational disruptions.
Sensitive Data Leaked from Defense and Government Portals
In addition to hacking key portals, Pakistani operatives leaked data from several high-security institutions. These include the Border Security Forces (BSF), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), and the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
Further breaches revealed compromised data from the Indian Air Force, Maharashtra Election Commission, and others. The magnitude of the leaks has raised alarms across Indian intelligence agencies.
Mass Surveillance Breakdown: Over 2,500 Cameras Hacked
The cyberattack extended beyond websites. Reports confirm that over 2,500 surveillance cameras across India were hacked.
This breach not only exposed vulnerabilities in India’s domestic security system but also highlighted its unpreparedness for digital warfare.
