ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has intensified its ground and air operations in response to related aggression by the Afghan Taliban regime, carrying out major airstrikes on the strategically significant Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.
According to reports, Pakistani forces targeted Bagram Air Base, resulting in the destruction of one aircraft hangar and two warehouses.
The New York Times reported that Pakistan successfully struck Bagram Air Base. Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense has also confirmed that a Pakistani airstrike took place.
According to the report, Pakistan has conducted more than 50 airstrikes inside Afghanistan over the past week.
Defense analysts state that targeting Bagram Air Base represents a significant setback for the Afghan Taliban government and sends a clear message that Pakistan is capable of conducting operations anywhere inside Afghanistan if necessary.
Experts say that despite repeated warnings from Pakistan, militant activities originating from Afghan territory have continued, allegedly involving the use of abandoned U.S. military equipment.
