Pakistan, Turkiye Pledge to Boost Strategic Partnership

BAKU: Pakistan and Turkiye have pledged to enhance collaboration on regional and global issues, reaffirming their shared commitment to peace, stability, and prosperity across the Muslim world.

The agreement came during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Baku, held on the sidelines of Azerbaijan’s Victory Day Parade.

Both leaders reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and expressed determination to further expand cooperation in areas such as politics, defence, economy, trade, investment, and cultural exchanges.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the celebrations of Pak-Turkiye Friendship Week, noting that they symbolize the enduring and brotherly ties between the two countries.

It was also agreed that a Turkish ministerial delegation will soon visit Pakistan to explore new avenues of cooperation and strengthen bilateral engagement.
