Pakistan, UK stress dialogue on arms control and non-proliferation

Seventh round of dialogue on arms control, non-proliferation and disarmament held in London.

LONDON: Pakistan and the United Kingdom reaffirmed the vital importance of sustained dialogue in fostering mutual understanding and enhancing cooperation on strategic issues.

This commitment was reflected in the 7th Round of the Pakistan–United Kingdom Dialogue on Arms Control, Non-Proliferation, and Disarmament, held in London.

During the consultations, both sides engaged in substantive and wide-ranging discussions on issues of international and regional security, strategic stability, arms control, disarmament, and non-proliferation.

The two delegations also reviewed bilateral cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear technology, recognizing its role in supporting sustainable development and shared technological advancement.

Both sides emphasized the value of regular and structured exchanges in strengthening their partnership and agreed to convene the next round of the dialogue in Islamabad in 2026.
