Foreign Office Spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan, speaking at the weekly media briefing in Islamabad, rejected what he described as provocative Indian statements threatening aggression. He said India’s irresponsible rhetoric reflected a mindset of dominance.

The spokesperson warned that India’s aggressive conduct posed risks to peace and stability in South Asia. He said Pakistan had demonstrated its resolve and capability to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity during the conflict in May last year.

Khan said Pakistan was fully prepared to respond to any reckless act of aggression and urged India to learn from last year’s experience, abandon its aggressive approach and refrain from dangerous rhetoric.

He emphasised that responsible conduct was essential to achieving lasting peace in the region.

The spokesperson also condemned Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Kingdom, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to protecting Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
