KARACHI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif stated that Pakistan will continue to play the role of a net regional stabilizer, emphasizing the country’s commitment to peace and stability in the region.
He made these remarks during an interactive session with students of the Saylani IT Program Karachi. During the discussion, students asked questions on a variety of topics, including Pakistan’s internal and external security dynamics.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif highlighted that Pakistan has always preferred peace over war, citing the success of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad and Bunyanul-Marsous as victories of peace and stability. He commended the youth for playing a frontline role in the information domain and emphasized the importance of truth in the age of hybrid warfare.
“Our armed forces are disciplined, professional, and operate strictly under the Constitution and directives of the state,” he said, adding that Pakistan’s military continues to safeguard national interests with professionalism and resolve.
During the session, the students expressed strong support for the armed forces, calling them a source of national pride. “We, the people, are the real strength of our armed forces and are ready to make every sacrifice for the country’s defense,” said one of the participants.
The session concluded with students thanking the DG ISPR and expressing a desire for more such interactions in the future.
