Pakistani AI Short Film Draws Millions of Views

LAHORE: A 28-minute Pakistani short film created using artificial intelligence has attracted significant attention on social media, reportedly receiving more than 50 million views on YouTube.

The film, titled The Mother’s Monster, was created by Pakistani AI filmmaker Zahid Iqbal, who hails from Layyah. His YouTube channel has also reportedly surpassed 100,000 subscribers.

Claims circulating on social media suggest that Iqbal earned around Rs50 million from the film. However, the reported earnings have not been independently verified.

The growing use of artificial intelligence in filmmaking is creating new opportunities for young Pakistani creators to produce innovative projects with relatively limited resources.
