ISLAMABAD: All Pakistani nationals aboard an LPG tanker near the coast of Yemen are safe, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Friday. The vessel has now safely departed Yemeni waters.
The fire on the tanker occurred on September 17, and the ship had a multinational crew, including 24 Pakistani citizens. Pakistani diplomatic missions immediately coordinated with Yemeni authorities to ensure the safety of the crew and facilitate the tanker’s departure.
The ministry added that the families of the Pakistani crew members were kept informed throughout the incident.
“The tanker has left the port safely, and all personnel, including the Pakistani crew, are unharmed,” the spokesperson stated.
