BUCHAREST: Pakistan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Romania Ilyas Mahmood Nizami presented his credentials to President Nicolae Ciucă at a ceremony here.
Ambassador Nizami conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan to the Romanian head of state. He also extended advance felicitations on Romania’s National Day, celebrated annually on 1 December.
Recalling the history of cooperation between the two countries, Ambassador Nizami expressed Pakistan’s strong desire to further expand and strengthen bilateral relations with Romania. He reaffirmed his commitment to contributing to mutually beneficial cooperation across various sectors.
During the meeting, the ambassador briefed the Romanian President on Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to accelerate economic development. He also highlighted the country’s progress in areas such as infrastructure development and the energy sector.
