ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has appointed senior career diplomat Shoaib Sarwar as its new ambassador to Denmark.
Ambassador Sarwar has assumed his charge after presenting his credentials to Her Majesty Queen of Denmark, Margarethe II, on September 22 at Copenhagen. Upon arrival at the royal palace, the ambassador was presented a guard of honor.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sarwar said he would be working to further boos Pakistan’s relations with Denmark.
It may be noted here that prior to his appointment as ambassador to Denmark, he served at the Prime Minister Office Islamabad as Joint Secretary, a press release received here on Sunday said.
During his diplomatic career, Mr Sarwar had served in Canada, Netherlands and USA. He holds BA(Hons) from University of Kent in United Kingdom and MBA from New York University, USA.
