ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has confirmed that Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkmenistan had been barred from entering Los Angeles in the United States and deported.

The Foreign Office confirmed the news of Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ahsan Wagan, being barred and deported from the United States.

A spokesman said that the concerned officer had gone to the United States on a private visit where he was not allowed entry. He said further investigations were underway in this regard.

According to the spokesperson, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was looking into the matter of the return of the Pakistani diplomat from the United States. The matter is being fully investigated. Therefore, speculations in this regard should be avoided.

It should be noted that it was reported on Monday that Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkmenistan was barred from entering the United States and was deported back from the American city of Los Angeles.
