Pakistan’s consul general receives cricket team in New York

Urges Pakistani diaspora and cricket enthusiasts to come out in large numbers to support national team.

NEW YORK: The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York announced the arrival of the Pakistan national cricket team in New York today for their participation in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

The team, led by Captain Babar Azam, was warmly received by Consul General Aamer Ahmad Atozai. The Consul General extended a heartfelt welcome to the team, expressing his best wishes for their performance in the tournament.

The Pakistan cricket team is set to compete in a series of exciting matches throughout June, including two matches in New York on June 9th and 11th.

“We urge the Pakistani diaspora and cricket enthusiasts in New York and across the United States to come out in large numbers to support our team. Your encouragement and presence will undoubtedly boost the morale of our players and inspire them to achieve great success,” he said.

The consulate general of Pakistan extended its best wishes to the Pakistan cricket team for a successful and memorable tournament.
